The company's team of 100+ award-winning doctors provide a full range of general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and board-certified pediatric dental services Rodeo locations throughout the United States.
The HRIS Technology Leader will drive the design and development of the HR technology vision, overseeing the execution of all related technology projects. This leader will serve as the technical authority for UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) and related systems, ensuring seamless HRIS operations across the central services organization and 50+ office locations spanning multiple states and three business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Technology Roadmap
- Develop and maintain the HR Technology Roadmap by aligning initiatives with the company's strategic objectives and operational priorities.
- Assess current systems, identify gaps, and plan future implementations to enhance HR processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee the execution of the roadmap and manage resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations while evaluating and adjusting the plan to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
2. UKG System Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end management of UKG Pro Workforce Dimensions, including core HR, compensation, background, talent acquisition, timekeeping, benefits, learning, performance succession, workforce management, advanced scheduling, and travel components.
- Design and implement UKG-driven solutions that automate operational workflows such as onboarding, offboarding, employee status changes, and licenses and certifications.
- Implement smart, scalable, configurations that integrate seamlessly into workflows and promote ease of use.
3. HRIS Partner Ecosystem
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure the partner ecosystem is healthy and responsive and that critical services like payroll and benefits continue to run accurately and without interruption.
- Ensure partners understand HRIS priorities, timelines, and commitments to company stakeholders. Maintain open communication channels and feedback loops.
- Monitor partner projects, track milestones, manage risks, and help ensure that partners produce deliverables on-time and within scope and budget.
4. Process Automation
- Configure Auto Profile Assignments to initiate UKG actions that automate and personalize tasks based on user profile definitions. For example, onboarding schedules, course assignments, work shift assignments, promotions and transfers, labor category assignments, and benefits eligibility.
- Schedule reports and data transfer tasks to fuel workforce insight and third-party integrations.
- Autocalculate pay for complex scenarios such as multiple roles and shift differentials.
5. Career Path Progression
- Migrate select Cornerstone learning assets and employee course completion statistics to UKG Learning.
- Implement shift differentials and flexible staff pay to reward team members when they are performing higher value services.
- Enable employees to post, monitor, and renew license and certification artifacts.
- Align and track staff continuing education opportunities with clinical initiatives (e.g. mini-residencies, Dentists Who Care, etc.).
6. Reporting, Analytics, and Insight
- Create and distribute reports, analytics, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making within the company.
- Leverage data visualization techniques to tell impactful stories by transforming raw HR data into visually appealing and easy-to-understand formats.
- Integrate HR data into other systems and combine it with other data sources to power comprehensive company insight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Data Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years in HRIS management with a technology focus
- 5+ years supporting UKG in multi-state environments
- UKG Pro Certification, HRIP (Human Resource Information Professional), or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Expertise in UKG Pro Workforce Dimensions, Advanced Scheduling
- Deep experience in UKG Reporting and BI tools
- Strong problem-solving and cross team collaboration skills
- Hands-on with a built-in need to participate in and drive actual work
- Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to present at Executive levels
- Experience working for UKG in product, technology, or broad support roles is a major differentiator and may offset the need to meet other requirements
