CDOC contract employees will have to complete additional background testing. The position is remote and the contract can be extended.

Period of Performance

The Services shall commence on or before March, 1 2022 and shall continue through June 30, 2022.

Resource Requirements

• In depth knowledge of application development and application design
• Demonstrated high level of understanding in development concepts, technical designs, database designs, application specifications and system integration
• Ability to translate high level documentation into functional specifications for development teams
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on ensuring application integrity, applications access and security
• Product Development and Business Process Analysis 3+ years
• Applications Mapping & Analysis 3+ years
• Familiar with Oracle 19c db environments as well as Structured Query Language (SQL)
• 4GL, Power builder, and web development experience preferred
• Preferred experience utilizing other development tools (Toad, SQL Developer, Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow)

Scope of Work

Contractor, will be working on the Department of Corrections DeCORuM project and shall provide the Services as follows:

• Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to the specifications in the documentation
• Analyze and document the required data and system information
• Create development ready work items such as:
  • Scrum items (user stories, organization of user stories into epics and planning of features)
  • Create traceability of work items back to project road map - untangle dependencies in order to place items properly on the backlog (change of table name and what does that impact, how many other tables or fields within the application)
  • Application class diagrams and, process/workflow diagrams
  • Be able to identify issues with processes or system problems and document risk and relationships
  • Analyze and document other required data and information by partnering with data analysts
  • Reverse engineer application code to document (interfaces, functionality, etc)
• Perform analysis of legacy and modernization systems, advise on the best way to transform and integrate required data into modified source database structures required to support modernized CDOC applications.
• Perform analysis on legacy & modernization systems and processes then provide analysis of impacts and risks
• Responsible for identifying and testing bridges between legacy and modernized application elements/structures.
• Analyze and identify risks associated with bug workarounds that impact the application and and database by partnering with data analyst
• Contribute toward root cause analysis of application and data-related defects
• Support integrated testing of interfaces and validation of application mapping as well as activities conducted during pre go-live and post go-live activities
