QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills needed but not limited to the following:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Promote and ensure "Safety First" attitude throughout the project from all levels of management and operations.
- Develops and maintains world class company and project specific safety and health programs, policies and procedures according to federal (OSHA), state and local safety standards.
- Ensures all company safety policies and procedures are understood and implemented.
- Work closely with field supervision and project team to plan more complex safety aspects of the project construction including critical lifts, work plans, etc.
- Manage, monitor, and report safety incidents according to policy. Document unsafe violations or unsafe conditions/activities and ensures corrective measures are implemented.
- Conducts onsite safety assessment as part of constant monitoring process
- Assists the superintendent with investigating property damage and personal injury complaints.
- Maintains safety files and records. Compile and complete reports and metrics as needed and/or required.
- Conduct orientation and training as needed for new hires and current employees.
- Educate project staff through on-the-spot training and toolbox safety talks. Communicates to project staff on the job site both good and bad safety practices that are observed during jobsite visits.
- Schedules annual safety training such as OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid for employees.
- Coordinates safety programs with subcontractors.
- Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills needed but not limited to the following:
- OSHA 500
- 10+ years' experience managing construction safety required; general contractor experience preferred.
- Valid driver license required
- Ability to travel frequently
- Thorough understanding and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company safety and health regulations
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
