Maintenance Manager

This position is responsible for managing a technically diverse maintenance team, to ensuring maximum, efficient operations of facilities and equipment, as well as the care of all support facilities and equipment, through the direction of a technical support staff.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Oversees the operational and functional processes of all brewery systems maintenance; develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs; conduct inspections; recommend equipment modifications, troubleshoot and repair of equipment
  • Sets priorities for projects and work orders; oversees and coordinate with contractors and vendor equipment technicians; work as the planning manager to prioritize and schedule work
  • Direct, schedule, train, and supervise staff; assist, evaluate, and monitor work; oversees personnel management issues, appraise performance, address complaints, and resolve problems.
  • Enforce electrical, mechanical, construction, and LOTO safety programs; 24-hour emergency mechanical and hazardous incident response; development of training checklists and safety procedures
  • Oversees the receipt, data systems entry, and inventory of purchased parts; oversees technical documentation library and development of maintenance requirements for new equipment; direct the use of the EAM system.
  • Develop and manage annual departmental budgets


Desired Skills/Experience (but not limited to):
  • High School Diploma plus ten (10) years or more of on-the-job experience and/or specialized training and education
  • Expert mechanical working knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Solid electrical skills and abilities
  • Expert knowledge, skills and abilities of compressed air, electric motors, refrigeration systems, steam, hydraulics, chemicals, and brewing process.
  • Solid plumbing and welding skills and abilities.
  • Solid machining skills and abilities - Use of a lathe, drill press, and other tools to machine metals.
  • Solid understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of production process and schedule.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to lead and direct the work of others
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 47lbs up to 100 feet.
  • Ability to push/pull weights up to 75 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including buckets and boxes.
  • Must show fine motor dexterity.
  • Demonstrate ability to climb stairs, stoop, crawl, twist, squat and reach overhead.
  • The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell's and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00
