SUMMARY: Seeking a highly skilled Product Manager with expertise in the tire industry. This role will develop and define tire competitive analysis through client-driven insights, advanced research, and state-of-the-art development processes, while working closely with an internal execution team to ensure services meet client needs and achieve business goals. Ideal candidates will have a background in tire manufacturing with previous roles in design, engineering, and/or compounding. This position requires ownership of all aspects of the project, from managing research and capital investment to ensuring product profitability, while supporting the growth of testing services to the top companies in the tire industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Overhaul & Redevelopment
-Spearhead the redesign and modernization of a legacy tire analysis product while preserving its heritage value.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, vendors, operations to execute relevant updates or special offerings that reflect cutting-edge technologies and client needs.
Client Engagement & Research
-Collect and analyze feedback from clients and industry stakeholders to guide the redevelopment process.
-Act as the voice of the customer to ensure the product offerings align with current and future market demands.
-Develop deeper and broader relationships with these organizations that will overall benefit tire testing services.
Strategic Planning & Execution
-Create and execute a comprehensive roadmap for product redevelopment, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met.
-Identify key features and improvements to maintain competitiveness and enhance market position.
Capital Investment Management
-Build and oversee the business case for redevelopment, including budget allocation, ROI analysis, and resource planning.
-Secure necessary approvals and manage resources to optimize project outcomes.
Tire Development Expertise
-Apply specialized knowledge of tire design, engineering, and compounding to guide product innovations.
-Leverage experience in tire manufacturing to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-Partner with various internal stakeholders, such as marketing, sales, and operations to develop a seamless go-to-market strategy for the relaunch.
-Ensure all teams are aligned and equipped to support the product's re-introduction and future success to the market.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
-Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role(s), with a strong background in tire development
-Prior roles in tire design, engineering, or compounding within a tire manufacturing organization
-In-depth understanding of product lifecycle management, including research, design, and market introduction
-Strong project management and client engagement skills, with an ability to drive results
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Approximately 40% domestic and international travel
