Summary:
Responsible for developing, negotiating, and administering complex, high-risk subcontracts and ensuring compliance with regard to cost and schedule. Relationship building skills are key internally and externally!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
LEADERSHIP
Motivate and inspire by creating an environment of support and positive communication!
Heavy focus on cross-functional unity between our team and others.
SUBCONTRACT SPECIFIC
Prepare RFPs to potential Subcontractors, receive their proposals, and prepare price matrix for analysis.
Facilitate negotiations/contract formation activities and actively facilitate the discussions with potential services
providers.
Manage all aspects of subcontract administration for the project, from bidding to prequalified bidders,
negotiation/execution of subcontracts, submitting change orders and closing out contracts after the substantial
completion of projects.
Oversee and manage the various general conditions services required for EPC projects.
Review, negotiate and document commercial aspects of form of subcontract agreements, consulting
agreements, and other agreements as assigned and document modifications as well as internal approvals.
Report the contract status and schedule with project teams and management on a weekly basis.
Advise on any deviations from standard Terms and Conditions to Legal Counsel and VP, Operations & Planning.
Maintain well documented files to accurately present a clear trail with regards to contract templates, approvals,
executed contracts, and pending contracts.
Develop and implement a streamlined processes for issuing various agreements.
Construct detailed meeting minutes to accurately outline topics discussed, conclusions reached and action items.
Trace and report monthly contracts completion metrics and status of pending contracts.
Ensure that Subcontractor and Service Provider insurances are valid and current.
OTHER
Report KPI's as defined by your manager.
Budget monitoring and reporting in the applicable phase codes/cost types.
Other duties as required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Ability to treat people like authentic and valued human beings.
No education preference. Degrees are always welcome and appreciated but so is learning from the school of
hard knocks. Demonstrated experience in Business, Construction and/or Project Management is weighted
heavily. Specific training or education in Contract Management preferred; Supply Chain experience also helpful.
The ability to and interest in over-communicating with cross functional teams for visibility.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect high-level information into details and communicate the results
effectively to the target audience(s).
Experience with ViewPoint is a plus but not a requirement.
Sense of humor is a requirement! Bring it to work with you.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
