Position Title: Workers' Compensation Claim Supervisor
Location: Hybrid - Irvine, CA (2 days in office per week)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PT
Salary Range: $108,000 - $112,000

About the Role:

The Workers' Compensation Claim Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, investigation, and adjustment of assigned claims while ensuring compliance with California regulations. This role requires strong leadership to mentor mid-level examiners, maintain timely processing of indemnity benefits, and pass internal best practices audits.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 4-5 adjusters and one claim assistant, ensuring compliance with Corporate Claim Standards and client-specific handling instructions
  • Handle claims exclusively within California jurisdiction, including litigated cases
  • Maintain timely indemnity benefit payments and oversee reserve establishment
  • Provide coaching and training to improve examiner performance
  • Ensure proper medical, legal, and invoice review, negotiating disputed costs when necessary
  • Directly manage complex and litigated claims, including SIP-required files
  • Travel occasionally for client meetings or industry events
  • Maintain accurate diary reviews and ensure adherence to performance metrics


Qualifications
5+ years of Workers' Compensation claims experience
Previous leadership experience in claims supervision preferred
Strong track record of timely indemnity payments and customer service excellence
California Self-Insurance Administrator (SIP) certification is required
