Description:
We are currently seeking a Corporate Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function for the company. The position is office based at our Corporate Office located in Scripps RanchThe Corporate Director of HR is a senior leadership position responsible for designing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that align with the company. They will plan, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and oversee the staff of the Human Resources (HR) and Payroll department.
We are fast-growing; privately held hotel management company based in San Diego, CA with 28 select-service properties in California. We offer a wide variety of quality select-service hotels under various brands including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Best Western, and Wyndham
Responsibilities and Duties:
Supervises human resources staff and payroll staff, including overseeing the daily workflow of the department
Ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategies
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and location employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Coordinates professional development, training and certification activities as needed
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Train the General Managers on HR functions and ensure they are following California Law
Perform all other tasks assigned
Qualifications
Must have at least five years of human resources management
Strong supervisory, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
