Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing accounting and financial processes to identify areas for enhancement
- Develop and implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, customer satisfaction and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate new processes and workflows
- Lead process changes, resolve related issues and provide training to relevant staff
- Proactively identify, investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and operational inefficiencies
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and root cause assessments; ensure correction of associated data and issues
- Regularly update leaders on findings, recommendations, corrective actions and associated benefits
- Work closely with diverse teams to identify and address any regulatory or customer satisfaction concerns
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and KPIs related to special projects
- Support transition to new ERP and coach team on month-end and year-end closing activities as needed
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory standards while implementing best practices
- Lead or support finance special projects, including system upgrades, process automation and strategic initiatives
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Track project progress and maintain clear communication with stakeholders on results to date and open issues
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with financial systems and tools; proficient in JDE, other ERP systems, QlikView, Viewpoint and OneStream
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus
- Prior experience leading ERP implementation projects in a finance leadership capacity
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and finance processes, standards, reporting and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver results under tight deadlines and shift strategies as priorities evolve
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Detail oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process rigor
- Ability to identify issues and work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment to lead change and drive process transformation
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or 8 years' experience, including demonstrated process improvement and investigative work
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, best practices and industry standards
