We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and strategic Director of Plant Engineering to join our team. This leadership position is key to ensuring the operational integrity of our facility and maintaining a safe, efficient, and sustainable environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Oversees the maintenance and operation of all facilities services and other related departments; and procurement and distribution of all supplies and equipment necessary to provide and insure a safe, comfortable environment for patients, employees and visitors. Oversees the daily work of designated assistants and maintenance staff who perform the activities in the areas of responsibility.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- Plant engineering oversees maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors through the installation, preventative maintenance and repair of building and grounds infrastructure and equipment.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience or combination of education/experience required.
- Three (3) years management experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Successful completion of Drivers Privileges for SHS Vehicles application process required.
- Experience and/or training in the following required:
- Building maintenance techniques, plumbing, heating, sanitation and electrical systems.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, manufacturer's specifications, schematics, purchase requests, equipment and materials for installation and repair of equipment and facilities systems.
- The laws and codes affecting building safety and operations including OSHA, NFPA and other applicable regulations.
- Hospital organization and functions of various departments.
- CHFM certification preferred.
