Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist
Job Specialty: Pharmacist - Inpatient
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 - 15:00)
Guaranteed Hours: Variable
Experience: 1 year of experience required, especially in inpatient/acute care
License: Licensure as a pharmacist in good professional standing in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Certifications: B.S. Pharm. or Pharm.D. required
Must-Have:
- Inpatient/Acute Care experience
- Pharmacy Residency from an accredited ASHP institution preferred
- Intravenous experience & pharmacotherapy management
- Previous experience in a computerized hospital pharmacy setting
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Pyxis, Carousel System & Epic skills preferred
- Flu Vaccine Required (No Exemptions)
Job Description:
- Deliver pharmaceutical care to patients in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center
- Work with rotating shift schedule: 06:30- 15:00, 07:00-15:30, or 14:30-23:00
- No on-call requirements, weekend & holiday rotations included
- Engage in pharmacotherapy management and intravenous preparations
- Use Epic for charting and electronic health records management
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and adhere to healthcare regulations
- Work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training within the facility
Note: Completion of up to 8 hours of modules required within 1 week of signing on (not billable).
