Legend Boats is excited to announce an opportunity to join our team in Barrie, Ontario, as a full-time, year-round Sales Consultant.

As a Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in turning our customers' dreams of boat ownership into reality and helping them create memories on the water!.

Compensation:

As a Sales Consultant, you will receive a competitive compensation package that includes base salary and commission. Total annual earnings are anticipated to range between $60,000 and $110,000, depending on your sales performance.

In addition, after six months of continuous employment, you will become eligible for:

The ideal candidate has:
  • At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the recreation, powersports or automotive industries.
  • Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to contributing to a supportive and dynamic workplace culture.
  • A highly driven, self-sufficient professional with exceptional organizational skills, ensuring all leads and customers are attended to while effectively collaborating with the sales team and other departments.
  • Ability to adjust sales strategies to align with different selling seasons.
  • Strong motivation to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Proactive in generating sales opportunities through networking, community involvement, and outreach beyond the store
  • A track record of exceptional attendance, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the complete sales process, including lead generation, sales execution, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Routines to stay informed on market trends, and meeting industry-specific requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently close deals and ask for the sale.
  • Strong capability to read and understand customer needs, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for the products sold, fostering trust, providing value, and building long-term customer relationships.


What will you be doing:
  • Welcome customers warmly and provide tailored demonstrations of boats that align with their needs, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Utilize prospecting and follow-up processes to build and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers.
  • Sell a variety of products, including boats, pontoon packages, outboard engines, trailers, accessories, trolling motors, fish finders, and other related items.
  • Leverage alternative media channels, such as social media platforms, Kijiji, Marketplace, and boating forums, to connect with and engage customers.
  • Participate in developing engaging sales content for social media, including videos and blog posts.
  • Represent the company at boat shows, sales events, and industry conferences to promote products and generate leads.
  • Ensure product displays are clean, organized, and in excellent condition to create a positive impression for customers.
  • Provide support to the service and parts sales departments during the off-season to contribute to overall operations.
