Job Title: Multimodality Technologist
Job Specialty: Multimodality Technology
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
License: State license required
Certifications: ARRT in X-ray (required), ARRT (MR) (preferred), CPR certification
Must-Have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT or NMTCB (if allowable by the state)
- Active State Driver's License
- Strong customer service skills
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
- COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment
Job Description:
- Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections and using aseptic injection techniques.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
- Train new technologists.
- Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).
- Flexibility in modality, with primary modality being MMR, and ability to work with X-ray and Dexa.
- Experience with Siemens Espree 1.5T and Fonar 0.6T magnets is beneficial.
- Work with the Philips Optimus X-ray system and GE Lunar DPX Dexa unit.
- Perform tasks requiring physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, and moving patients.
- May be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit.
- May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious diseases.
