Responsibilities
Assists the organization in meeting regulatory requirements related to quality measures and externally reported data. Ensures integrity, timeliness, organization, efficiency, and confidentiality of abstracted and reported data. Serves as a second reviewer of OFIs, ensures data is abstracted according to required specifications, and communicates findings to appropriate internal personnel.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors degree in nursing required
2. Previous experience with quality and regulatory measure data processes, including abstraction of data and reporting timelines.
3. Minimum 3 years experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in hospital quality improvement or health information management, with one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
4. Knowledgeable of CMS and other regulatory standards that govern acute care hospitals.
5. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to function effectively with a wide variety of disciplines, including physicians and nurses.
7. Working knowledge of team and group dynamics.
8. Ability to provide project leadership working through teams, committees, and task forces
PREFERRED:
1. One of the following: RHIA, RHIT, CPHQ or Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia, or other professional healthcare related certification/registry.
