Description:
This entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations.
The purpose is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases.
The position requires providing safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions.
Settings include, but are not limited to, acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics.
Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures and correlating clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
Collaboration with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team is essential.
The role involves utilizing a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
Post-procedure review is conducted to ensure all required elements are completed and documented as per department protocols and/or applicable accreditation standards.
Responsibilities also include transferring images and data to the appropriate archival systems and entering technical data/findings.
Preparing studies for reporting by a physician is part of the role.
Operator-level quality control checks, including cleaning and high-level disinfecting as per regulatory guidelines, are required.
Engagement in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies is expected.
The candidate will need to take 5-8 days of call per month.

Skills required include understanding core concepts of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, medical imaging, and terminology.
The candidate must be able to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
An associate's degree or higher is required along with one of the specified certifications.
English proficiency is necessary for speaking, reading, and writing.
