This position is available within the University of Maryland's Division of Information Technology (DIT).
The Elevate Program is moving the University of Maryland Fearlessly Forward, leading the transition from legacy mainframe student systems to the next generation of administrative computing.
We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and experienced professional to join our team of Project Managers. The incumbent will support various workstreams across the Elevate Program as part of our Workday Student implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team shaping the future of the student experience at the University of Maryland.
The incumbent will 1) develop and execute project plan details 2) facilitate broad stakeholder management 3) identify and mitigate risks 4) facilitate cross functional communication.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex IT projects, particularly within the higher education sector, and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
This role will be one of multiple Project Managers reporting directly to the Lead Project Manager on the Elevate Program. This is a full-time position with the ERP team in DIT.
This position is considered essential and may be required to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergency to help maintain the continuity of University services.

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five years of progressively responsible experience in project management and complexity. Three (3) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure the SIS implementation meets all objectives and deadlines.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with key stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, staff, and consultants to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Cross functional Communication:
- Support a cross-functional team, providing guidance, support, and clear communication to achieve project goals. Includes scheduling and facilitating meetings, documenting action items, and following up on tasks
