Overview

The Organizational Change Management Lead will play a key role in ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Change Management:

  • Champions the change management process and OCM tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Oversees the design and delivery of robust change plans for strategic initiatives associated with Oldcastle and CRH project portfolios.
    • Communications: Oversee multiple channels of communication and change events to support deployments; design key messaging and slides for field to executive meetings.
    • Training: provide guidance in the areas of content design, detailed planning, collaboration, program delivery and program effectiveness.
    • Business Readiness: Champion Super User engagement within change plans; detailed T minus plans addressing change impacts; analyze readiness data and recommend improvement opportunities. May provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their reports through transitions.
    • Launch Support: Drive detailed launch and post-launch support plans for OCM responsibilities. If applicable, define additional post-launch adoption activities.
  • Collaborate with other OCM leaders to ensure deployment teams follow change management processes and use OCM tools accordingly.
  • Partner with PMO and OCM Team to facilitate internal collaboration, knowledge sharing and learning and development.
  • Support and define measurement opportunities to assess awareness, understanding, buy -in and support of organizational change.
  • Guides team to support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
  • Partners with PMO and Functional Teams to provide positive internal customer experience.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational behavior, human resources, Organizational development, organization effectiveness, or relevant work experience.
  • At least 7 years' experience in at least 2 of the following areas: organizational change management, organizational effectiveness, corporate communications, training and/or project management.
  • Ability to develop and implement practical change management solutions, aligned to needs of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30+%, and sometimes work odd and extended hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport quickly and collaborate effectively with all employee levels.
  • Awareness of continuous improvement concepts.
  • Excellent client relationship management and consulting skills.
  • Possess the presence and credibility to win the trust of senior decision makers.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrix environment and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated change management leadership and expertise.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Change Management Certification - Prosci's preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change.
  • Understanding of organizational development concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, presentation and speaking.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
