As a Nurse Medication Review Specialist, you'll have the power to optimize medication plans, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to significant cost savings. Position Highlights
*Analyze pre-admission and new medication orders, identifying potential drug interactions, duplications, and appropriateness for each resident's health status.

*Compare medications to the nursing center's formulary and recommend cost-effective alternatives while maintaining clinical effectiveness.

*Work closely with admitting physicians and the skilled nursing center to recommend appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication orders.

*Maintain accurate records of medication reviews, findings, and recommendations.

*Stay current on the latest medications, clinical guidelines, and formulary changes.

Qualifications

*Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a compact license in the states in which this process is implemented.

*Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.

*Strong knowledge of pharmacology and geriatric medication management.

Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.

Posted Salary Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
