Regional Water Supply Planning Coordinator

Job Summary: This is advanced professional work providing coordination for all aspects of regional water supply planning and minimum flows and minimum levels prevention and recovery efforts for assigned planning region including project prioritization, change management, and process improvement to ensure delivery of results and facilitation/coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Job duties include:
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in geology, engineering, hydrogeology, water supply planning, natural resources, or related field and five years of experience in water supply planning, environmental resource management, or water use regulation.
Professional experience in the areas described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education
Skilled In:
The use of computers and software including analytical, word processing, spreadsheet, project and portfolio management (Daptiv); problem solving and developing sound solutions to new or complex problems; communication skills both orally and in writing to provide information to others and to gather and apply information. Listening carefully and attentively encourages and accepts other points of view. Understanding customer needs and expectations and providing excellent service to fulfill customer expectations.
Working Environment:
Mostly office environment, sitting at a desk and operating a personal computer to produce work products with some field visits as required. Field visits would require enduring outdoor environments in uncomfortable temperatures, inclement weather, and remote locations.
Licenses:
Valid State of Florida Driver's License required.
Additional Details:
Starting Salary Range: $86,715.20 - $112,736.00
Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.

Job duties include:
- Responsible for developing and improving the process to effectively drive and deliver the assigned regional water supply planning and minimum flows and minimum levels prevention and recovery efforts; advocates and influences appropriate change and quality needs across SJRWMD, including project selection and prioritization associated with the assigned region to meet the needs of water users and the environment.
- Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of the resources needed to effectively deliver the milestones/objectives of the regional planning effort; responsible for mentoring team members to drive continuous improvement within the planning region; direct team efforts in the processes and approaches used to effectively deliver assigned efforts or products for the planning region.
- Responsible for selecting, scoping, budgeting, and prioritizing of projects associated with the planning region; responsible for the integration of budget, financial and project management tools to track and anticipate project and funding needs for assigned region.
- Responsible for presenting and advocating to the media, the Governing Board, regional stakeholders, and other parties as required on planning region issues; responsible for coordinating these activities appropriately with the Office of Strategic Communications and Engagement.
- Responsible for ensuring regional water supply planning and prevention and recovery efforts and activities are aligned with Governing Board and executive leadership guidance. As appropriate, communicate efforts and activities to Bureau Chief, Division Director, and Executive staff for input and direction.
- Passionately drives process excellence, visibility and awareness across the district and as requested from other agencies.
