Description:
US Farathane is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join the team. This position is responsible for leading project activities related to new product and process of product which leads to improved productivity and reduced cost.
US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE's and TPO's as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Essential Functions:
- Ensures each workstation is set up / and developed using the Lean Manufacturing method.
- Promptly addresses any and all scrap related issues.
- Maintain standard component list for future secondary equipment.
- Assist the manufacturing and engineering activities in the justification of cost Savings.
- Maintain list Plant press specifications.
- Ensures that new equipment meets or exceeds all internal and governmental safety requirements.
- Report any unsafe conditions immediately
- Assist teams in development of process workflow, documenting the workflow diagram, the work cell layout and for projects utilizing post mold equipment.
- Budgeting of projects and control of costs within set budgets and timing.
- Receiving of equipment for projects in production area. Training of personnel for operating and set-up.
- Write instructions for set-up and operation of equipment implemented.
- Track performance of equipment for production use.
- Hand in Cost saving ideas that exceed goal.
Qualifications:
- Education and/or Experience; Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of standard quality practices and lean manufacturing concepts.
Ability to:
- solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- read tooling prints. Ability to read and write basic procedures and job instructions.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
