Job Location:

This is a hybrid position, with a requirement to work onsite in Washington, DC two to three days per week.

Clearance:

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Job Description:

Blake Willson Group (BWG) is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide subject matter expertise in Treasury Information Executive Repository (TIER) reporting, Federal Standard General Ledger (SGL) accounting, budget execution, unliquidated obligations (ULOs), and cost accounting to support the development of MS Power Apps and RPA automation solutions. In this position, you will also be responsible for:
  • Validate as-is agency financial processes, including ULO monitoring, cost accounting, and TIER reporting.
  • Identify gaps in current processes and system limitations to support the development of improved to-be processes, automation, and tools.
  • Assist in the development of to-be financial processes and system solutions.
  • Support functional testing of new applications and automation tools.
  • Provide user functional training and contribute to the development of training materials.
  • Assist with budget execution, including working with agency points of contact to validate the status of ULOs on a monthly basis.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Federal financial accounting, budgeting, and/or budget execution.
  • 2+ years of experience in process analysis, gap analysis, and process improvement recommendations.
  • 2+ years of experience providing user functional training on financial systems and processes.

Desired Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, or ULO management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience with RPA automation solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate both technical and non-technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.

At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
