Job Description:

- Responsible for business operations in Surgical and Perioperative Services, under the direction of the Director of IntraOperative Services.
- Collaborate with Surgical and Perioperative Leadership to manage supply chain costs, optimize revenue, and develop new business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons and organizational leadership to achieve clinical and operational outcomes.
- Act as the primary liaison to Financial services, Materials, and IT.
- Co-chair the Surgical Value Analysis Team meetings and manage information for presentations.
- Coordinate sales representative compliance and assist with planning for capital and supply needs.
- Manage Case Cart, including staff, inventory management, and equipment repairs.
- Order equipment for cases and handle inventory and cataloging.
- Facilitate in-services on new products and prepare monthly reports for leadership.
- Collaborate in developing a capital budget and ensure timely submission of requests.
- Monitor capital expenditures and operating budget, and prepare monthly variance reports.
- Provide financial reports and prepare operational performance reports.
- Review and approve expenses, ensuring correct account expensing.
- Maximize charge capture in collaboration with finance-related teams.
- Work with leadership and staff to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Track equipment utilization and develop efficiency-maximizing solutions.
- Manage capital equipment inventory and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure accurate and timely data management within the OR information system.
- Supervise and develop Case Cart staff and set performance goals.
- Foster a motivating work environment and provide financial education to staff.
- Identify strategic initiatives and develop annual business and operational plans with leadership.
- Develop procurement procedures and negotiate supplier contracts.
- Act as a liaison with Material Management and ensure service levels meet department needs.
- Organize staff education and evaluation trials for new products.
- Maintain inventory levels and manage freight charges effectively.
- Participate positively as an ad hoc member on relevant committees.
- Coordinate agendas for Co-management meetings and facilitate discussions.
