Job Overview:

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead and manage projects focused on developing and implementing new Geographic Information Systems (GIS) processes to support Transmission and Large Pipeline business units. This role requires collaboration with various business units, stakeholders, and technical teams to optimize GIS integration for operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage GIS projects related to Large Pipeline operations from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality parameters.
• Collaborate with Transmission and Large Pipeline Operating business units to identify data requirements and operational needs.
• Develop and implement new GIS processes for integrating and managing Transmission and Large Pipeline data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to ensure smooth adoption of GIS processes.
• Create comprehensive project plans detailing timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and address issues or scope changes as necessary.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate end-users on new GIS tools and processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in GIS and pipeline operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to GIS data management and pipeline operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in project management within the Utility or Pipeline industry.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience with Transmission and Large Pipeline data and operations is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
