POSITION
In this role, you will thrive with various transmission, power, and electrical engineering project design opportunities. The Engineer will support the planning, designing, and consulting of distribution related project with our clients. This opportunity will also focus on assisting in expanding our Electrical Power Design group. These responsibilities include:

POSITION
In this role, you will thrive with various transmission, power, and electrical engineering project design opportunities. The Engineer will support the planning, designing, and consulting of distribution related project with our clients. This opportunity will also focus on assisting in expanding our Electrical Power Design group. These responsibilities include:
- Perform routine engineering and design tasks at the direction of the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Provide distribution planning, modeling, coordination, line design, and line staking.
- Design high voltage and medium voltage projects (less than 34.5kV) with clear, specified objectives and with multiple variables for various clients across the region.
- Conduct project analyses to develop design options.
- Perform system modeling, coordination studies, and overhead line design calculations.
- Assist with preparing construction cost estimates and construction administration support.
- Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
- Coordinate work of the electrical design team on large institutional/industrial projects through the schematic design development and construction document phases of a project.
- Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other engineering disciplines.
- Write/edit electrical technical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, and change orders, and take responsibility for incorporating agreed-upon changes into the project documents.
- Perform QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators, or Technicians.

YOUR STRENGTHS
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with utility line and power distribution design projects.
- PE license is preferred or able to be obtained soon after hire.
- Proficiency with design software (e.g.,Milsoft Windmill, PLS, AutoCAD, Light Table)
- High-level written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Must have strong organizational skills and an aptitude for detail.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record is required for periodic travel
