WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Looking for a courteous and knowledgeable Family Nurse Practitioner who is able to provide a positive experience for a special needs patient population and their caregivers at our FQHC location in Staten Island. The ideal candidate will possess considerable medical judgment and an advanced level of competency in nursing through additional education or training as well as a Nurse Practitioner's license and prescriptive privileges. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Family Physician and the Collaborating Practice Physician, who review work routinely.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Completion of a state acceptable Nurse Practitioner's program; a minimum of one year's experience is desirable. National certification in specialty is preferred.
  • Licensed by the State of New York as a Registered Nurse; certified by the State of New York as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Prescriptive privileges/DEA;
  • Board Certified/Eligible with the intention of taking boards within 1 year of hire
  • BLS Certification also required
  • Medicare/Medicaid enrollment preferred
