Job Description
Job Title: Radiology Technician
Job Specialty: Radiology - Diagnostics
Job Duration: 18 weeks
Shift: Evening (Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40.00 hours per week
Experience: One year of direct patient care work experience preferred
License: Registered by the A.R.R.T.
Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) required
Must-Have:
- Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA-Approved facility
Job Description:
- Perform radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist.
- Coordinate daily activities, including performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
- Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Document patient history pertaining to specific procedures.
- Confirm patient identification through verbal confirmation and proof validation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
- Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
- Select and operate equipment based on individual procedure demands and demonstrate correct anatomic positioning skills.
- Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment, independently following onboarding, and produce high-quality images.
- Interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members to establish relationships fostering optimal care.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires physical effort in assisting patients and handling equipment.
- May frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel to operate radiographic equipment.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Vision and hearing necessary for distances up to 10 feet.
- Adaptability to various physical conditions, temperature, and humidity changes.
