The Principal Key Account Manager will spearhead efforts to drive sustainable growth within key global accounts, focusing on identifying and capitalizing on upsell and cross-sell opportunities, broadening product engagement, and recommending innovative, client-centric solutions. This role entails overseeing a portfolio of high-value accounts and developing robust quarterly and annual sales strategies to enhance market share and deepen relationships with strategic partners. Success in this role requires close collaboration with product management, marketing, distribution, IT, and finance teams to provide comprehensive support and swiftly resolve any arising challenges.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with advanced expertise in account management, possessing strong business acumen and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. They excel at managing complex accounts, aligning cross-functional priorities, and consistently delivering client value that strengthens partnerships and promotes growth. Additionally, they will utilize data analytics to evaluate account performance, inform future strategies, and lead regular business reviews with key stakeholders, ensuring ongoing alignment and high levels of client satisfaction.

What You Will Do at Graco

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong trust-based relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Formulate strategic account plans tailored to each client, setting goals to maximize revenue, identify growth opportunities, and anticipate client needs.
  • Actively engage with clients to understand their business objectives, aligning our solutions to support their goals.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins and reviews with clients to discuss progress, address concerns, and explore potential areas for collaboration.


Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Proactively drive revenue growth within key accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, expanding product usage, and proposing new solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to provide value-added insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Develop customized proposals and value-added service options that align with client needs and demonstrate clear ROI.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data and account performance to identify potential growth areas and adjust strategies to meet targets.


Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and customer service to fulfill client requirements and deliver positive customer experience.
  • Coordinate with product management to customize offerings or suggest product enhancements that better align with client needs.
  • Act as the point of escalation for any issues, addressing concerns efficiently and working with relevant teams to resolve problems quickly.


Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track account metrics, prepare sales forecasts, and present regular reports to leadership on the status and growth potential of key accounts.
  • Use data analytics to assess account performance, monitor KPIs, and refine strategiesbased on key metrics.
  • Provide clients with regular performance reports, detailing account status, recent activity, and areas of focus.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems to support tracking and analysis of client interactions and outcomes.


What You Will Bring to Graco

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of sales experience with 7+ years of global key account experience.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing both short- and long-term strategic account plans, with a strong focus on high-impact sales initiatives and comprehensive program execution.
  • Extensive experience in driving sales growth and account management at a senior level, with a proven commitment to building and sustaining exceptional client partnerships.
  • Advanced understanding of P&L analysis, with the ability to assess customer profitability and make informed strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with high proficiency in leveraging digital tools, CRM systems, and data analytics to drive decision-making; a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build influence and operate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders across all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%-30% travel within North America.


Accelerators

  • Global industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge.
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
$108,700.00 - $190,100.00
