MANAGER, STRATEGY New York, NY Hybrid

THE RUNDOWN Playfly Sports is looking for a Manager, Strategy to join our team in New York.

The Manager of Strategy will work on a small team to lead financial modeling and underwriting to support business development and new partnership evaluation and assist in developing and executing Playfly's corporate strategy and growth roadmap. The Manager will work alongside Playfly's senior leadership team (including C-Suite) in a unique and dynamic role with a broad range of functional responsibilities across strategy, business development, finance, corporate development and project management.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Generate detailed financial models to support business development and new partnership underwriting from initial outreach/RFP through diligence and negotiation
• Review historical financial performance, perform financial analysis and modeling, and function as a thought partner and decision maker alongside Playfly's divisional leadership teams
• Support the development of presentation materials and analyses for Playfly's senior leadership team, Board of Directors, and other internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in implementing strategic company-wide priorities, executing identified growth theses and priorities, and project managing key corporate initiatives across a variety of functions
• Underwrite and support Playfly's organic and inorganic business growth activities including M&A and corporate development
• Conduct industry research and competitive analyses to inform Playfly's short- and long-term growth strategy
• Other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity or similar field
• Expert level skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and experience performing detailed financial analysis
• Experience managing projects, due diligence processes or transactions with various internal and external stakeholders; ability to influence without authority, particularly senior stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial team player who thrives in ambiguity and is enthusiastic to take on dynamic job responsibilities and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
• Track record of creating impactful presentations and/or marketing materials
• Fast learner with a desire to move with urgency, accountability, and intent
• Exceptional track record of producing quantitative analysis and utilizing the results for measurement and planning within a dynamic environment
• Ability to synthesize and convey complex business concepts effectively
• Strategic planner with the ability to plan and execute upon a defined task or strategy
• Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to approach all communications with a sensitive and empathetic approach
• Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to drive change
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• This position takes place primarily in a quiet, office setting
• Ability to frequently travel to business unit operations as required

COMPENSATION The base pay range for this role is $100,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
