Work Schedule

  • 100% FTE

  • Onsite at UW Medical Centers Montlake and Northwest as well as any outside building where ambulatory care is delivered

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational guidance to the ambulatory care division employing expertise in a complex multispecialty setting

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

    UW MEDICAL CENTER'S, AMBULATORY CARE DIVISION

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of ambulatory care division clinics, therapies, and procedural areas

  • Administratively coordinates and directs the operational, financial, and personnel activities of University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) Ambulatory Care Division

  • Participates as the Administrator on CALL providing 24/7 weekly rotations as the onsite administrator for UWMC hospitals

  • Effectively collaborate with Chairs, Medical Directors, School of Medicine Vice Chairs, Hospital clinical administrators/directors, strategy, decision support, contracting and others as necessary

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the business and strategic plans of the medical center

  • Oversees management of approximately 150-250 FTE's

  • Develops capital and operational budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to support operation of ambulatory programs and meet organizational goals

  • Lead continuous quality improvement committees and activities - serving as an executive sponsor, leader, and consultant for process improvement - working with multiple campus locations, specialties, and clinical/non-clinical teams

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in business, healthcare or related field

  • 5 years of Ambulatory Clinic Operations management experience

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
