Description:

As a Senior Project Manager with Maverc, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing complex projects, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring successful execution across multiple teams. You'll be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, while also collaborating with key stakeholders to meet organizational objectives.
  • Assist in planning, developing, testing, and documenting Search Portfolio products.
  • Apply business process improvement practices, modernize projects, and help with the acquisition process and reengineering of outdated methodologies and principles.
  • Support agency teams in the development and management of milestones, goals, and deliverables for each of the Search Portfolio products.
  • Coordinate and rationalize CDAO's technical efforts to support AI/ML-enabled indexing, search, and augmented retrieval of unstructured data sets.
  • Stay informed on the latest AI system and software architectures and trends, from design patterns to DevSecOps and systems architecture patterns.
  • Develop plans, roadmaps, and software design strategies.
  • Capture, develop, and report reference architectures and document compliance standards.
  • Engage with mission teams to identify and evaluate prospective projects with potential customers within the Department of Defense (DOD).

Requirements
  • Proven experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, including experience in the Product Owner role within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Strong ability to identify key users and non-customer stakeholders, balancing the needs of all product stakeholders.
  • Expertise in synthesizing requirements underlying feature requests and transforming them into user stories and tasks for a product backlog.
  • Experience in grooming and prioritizing SCRUM team backlogs.
  • Ability to coordinate product backlogs across development teams to ensure subject matter experts are effectively shared and product teams maintain velocity.
  • Ability to analyze and recommend alternative technical and business approaches, while facilitating engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps and experience with CI/CD tooling.
  • Experience working with software and data engineers developing products within containerized environments.
  • Experience working with software engineers and data scientists utilizing distributed computing environments for AI/ML and Big Data workloads (e.g., Apache Spark or Databricks).
  • Familiarity with modern software architectures like microservices and current front-end frameworks.
  • Strong track record of active learning and creative problem-solving.


Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's Degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
