The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible General Gastroenterologist interested in developing/advancing an academic career. Opportunity Overview:
Full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
Opportunity to build an Inflammatory Bowel Disease practice at Froedtert Hospital in a well-established, well-respected IBD program; the team currently cares for over 3,500 IBD patients.
Work alongside five exceptional colorectal surgeons experienced in IBD management, providing comprehensive surgical care.
Focus on a patient-centered approach to the delivery of care and engage in a climate of inquiry, quality, and safety
Work-life balance, community-focused initiatives, and flexibility in the development of individualized career paths
Collaboration Opportunities:
Close collaboration with nationally renowned Children's Wisconsin, including a formal pediatric-to-adult inflammatory bowel disease transition clinic and regular conferences with adult and pediatric GI teams.
Strong inpatient and outpatient Advanced Practice Providers, care team members, robust parenteral nutrition team, and three registered dietitians. Access to dedicated pharmacy support for medication prior authorizations and in-clinic pharmacists to optimize patient care.
Education and Research:
Participate in the institution's academic, research, and educational missions. Leverage the resources of the Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) of Southeast Wisconsin, which offers comprehensive support for clinical and translational research, including planning, execution, and financial management.
Contribute to the clinical education of fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees
Fully accredited ACGME Fellowship program with 13 fellows. Large vibrant training program with call coverage provided by fellows under faculty supervision.
Technology and Innovation:
Full advanced endoscopy support including ERCP and EUS services available
Brand new state-of-the-art Digestive Disease Center
Olympus 190 endoscopes at Froedtert Hospital, ASC's, and VA Medical Center

Completion of an Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship from an ACGME accredited program
Skilled in all areas of general Gastroenterology; additional skills in IBD and/or nutrition are a plus
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Eligible for full, unrestricted licensure in Wisconsin
