Senior Accountant at Realtor.com

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our organization. In this position, you will handle assigned aspects of the accounting operations within the company, book and record financial transactions, and reconcile specific accounts for multiple business units. You must have keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledgers, and sub ledgers.

What youll do:

Subject matter expert on accounting for key areas of business

Create key journal entries for accruals and other transactions

Analyze and reconcile key accounts and maintain account balances

Document and maintain company accounting procedures and processes

Comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements including researching accounting issues

Knowledge of Canadian accounting practices is a plus

Collaborate with FP&A and business partners to properly report business transactions

Develop and document procedures to improve efficiency

Report and forecast cash activity

Provide support for year-end financial audits

Provide support and prepare schedules for the tax team for annual taxes and other tax projects

Manage general ledger and assist with month-end/year-end close processes

Ensure compliance with all internal SOX processes

What youll bring:

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field (CPA preferred)

Previous accounting experience in both public accounting and/or as a Senior Accountant in a corporate environment (5+ years), preferred

Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills; Google Suite knowledge

Proficiency with accounting software; Oracle Cloud Financials and Oracle EPM a plus

System experience with Concur Expense/Travel a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to multiple tasks, analyze and solve practical problems, prioritize tasks and projects, work both independently and as part of a team, and adapt to frequent changes in the work environment.
