Must-Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science in a Biological Science
- Basic knowledge of reproductive biology including male and female reproductive systems, embryology, in vitro fertilization, and cryopreservation
- Proficiency in handling hazardous specimens and manipulation of oocytes and embryos under the microscope
- Management of aseptic techniques
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations for handling Protected Health Information (PHI)
Job Description:
- Serve as an Andrologist/Embryologist; willing to learn and perform all aspects of Andrology/Embryology without supervision
- Follow established policies and procedures for quality control, Embryology/Andrology procedures, and standards set by state and federal agencies
- Perform clerical responsibilities with attention to detail
- Engage in a learning environment, including participation in journal club, for continuous development and education
- Perform retrievals, conventional inseminations, and prepare for upcoming cases
- Carry out oocyte and embryo grading, fertilization checks, embryo transfers, and assisted hatching
- Be proficient in cryopreservation and thawing
- Conduct micromanipulation of oocytes and embryos, including Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection and trophectoderm biopsy
- Maintain clear communication and interaction with patients, clinical staff, and laboratory personnel
- Foster a team-oriented environment
- Be willing to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required, and participate in alarm calls
- Assist in training for Embryologist I/Andrologists and contribute to duties specific to the Embryologist II position
- Perform additional assignments as requested by the Lab Director
- Comply with all policies and standards
- Ensure the safe and secure maintenance of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients
- Participate in annual training regarding Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, and grasping
- Occasional climbing and crawling
