Description:

Developing and executing Procurement strategies:
Mentor and Develop a team of Procurement Specialists, (you will have seven direct reports) implementing best practices in category management.
Support on development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost savings, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier value.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and value creation.
Monitor market trends and industry best practices to drive procurement best practices implementation.
Act as a Business Partner to guarantee Procurement is aware and working towards the Business Short and Long-Term goals.
Stay informed on internal and external factors impacting procurement functions.
Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics and performance, providing actionable insights to senior management.
Lead and/or support initiatives to digitalize and automate procurement processes wherepossible.
Support vendor business reviews led by Procurement Specialists

Supporting the business in making better decisions by:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, define sourcing strategies, and support contract execution.
Partner with Regulatory, R&D, P&C, Finance and operations teams to ensure contracts align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage project transitions from product development to commercialization for all Procurement functions.
Assist the Finance team during the annual budget process, providing information on pricing models, and help set accurate spending budgets for future periods.

Preferred Background:
Graduation from a recognized university or college with specialization in Materials, Packaging, Supply Chain, Food Science, or

other.
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting and experience in sourcing materials/services, working as part of cross-

functional teams.
Previous experience leading a team
Analytic, detail and service oriented with strong communication skills.
A demonstrated ability in key software applications such as EXCEL, Power-point, and Word.
Experience working within Food Industry is an asset.

Details:
This role is a hybrid opportunity out of our Richmond headquarters and will pay a base salary between $100,000 - $125,000 based on experience and expertise. Bonus, benefits, and RRSP matching are also provided.
Travel within North America will be required approximately once a quarter.
