Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Maine Eye Center in Portland, ME. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with four 10-hour shifts (Monday - Thursday) and no weekends or call.
Case Types & Responsibilities:
Academic Qualifications:
1.BSN from an approved school of nursing
2.Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
3.Masters in Nurse Anesthesia (preferred)
4.AANA Certification and/or Board Eligible (you have six months to successfully complete boards from the date of hire)

Case Types & Responsibilities:
- Primarily Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
- Some General Anesthesia (GA) cases with LMA placement
- Provide safe, independent, and efficient anesthesia care in an outpatient ophthalmology setting
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia colleagues to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
Academic Qualifications:
1.BSN from an approved school of nursing
2.Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
3.Masters in Nurse Anesthesia (preferred)

Work Experiences and Skills:
- Commitment to continuous improvement in self, others, and process
- Completion of an intense "on the job" training program
- ACLS required
- BLS required
- PALS required
- NALS recommended
- Current State of Maine RN license
- Advanced Practice License (ME)
- Compliance with criteria for biennial recertification as a CRNAs as defined by the AANA Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
- As per AANA Code of Ethics
