The Americas Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage Sales Team focuses on the development of commercial and industrial behind-the-meter battery energy storage systems (BESS) applications for various end-use customers and channel partners.
The Associate Account Manager plays a pivotal role supporting an existing team of Sales leads. This position is responsible for coordinating and enabling projects from initial engagement to contract execution, while working with Tesla's commercial and technical support organizations.
This role will involve a mix of internal and external task management and sales execution responsibilities. Internally, diverse project teams comprised of engineering, finance, legal and other disciplines will need to be coordinated to achieve sales goals. Externally, customer relationships are built and managed, contracts are negotiated and closed. Responsibilities
  • Provide critical support to an existing team of Megapack sales leads to further Tesla's Megapack sales in the Americas
  • Assist Sales Leaders with full span of an internal and external customer engagement to go from an initial lead to contract execution
  • Efficiently manage various projects simultaneously, at various stages in the sales cycle
  • Assist on internal and external deliverables such as internal CRM upkeep, Megapack quoting, contract population, contract verification, and pipeline reporting
  • Assist Sales Leaders in managing a project pipeline of short, medium, and long-term opportunities spanning a range of customers, project types, and markets
  • Represent Tesla to our customers, partners, and other industry stakeholders to support the sales process


Requirements
  • 2-4 years minimum work experience in the renewable energy space and/or power sector
  • Experience in sales or business development (customer-facing) and channel sales in particular
  • Working knowledge of battery systems, renewable power, and grid markets
  • Hands-on contract negotiation/management experience in energy storage or renewables a plus
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic settings
  • Ability to execute and manage many tasks in parallel
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

      $108,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
