As an Infrastructure/Linux Engineer, you will support ECS's Army Endpoint Security Solution (AESS) program. This is a technical hands-on role to which you will be responsible for working within a multi-disciplined team to design, build, secure, maintain, optimize, and integrate Oracle and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) solutions deployed globally in a Federal DoD environment.

  • Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Compliance with DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start date (Security+ CE or equivalent)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual Linux servers on secure and unsecure networks.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers to resolve performance and security issues.
  • Deploy, integrate, upgrade, and maintain commercial and government off-the-shelf applications in support of program requirements.
  • Support cross-functional teams with assessing, troubleshooting, and resolving stability and performance issues with third party Linux applications.
  • Create and/or maintain documentation for Linux server configurations.
  • Ability to harden Linux servers and conduct DISA STIG reviews, assess findings, and recommend/implement appropriate corrective measures to ensure compliance with STIG requirements.
  • Implement, tune, operate, and maintain diagnostics and performance monitoring tools to detect, prevent, and/or resolve anomalous server behavior.
  • Collaborate with multi-function teams to maintain an effective and compliant security posture for all systems enclaves.
  • Support special projects as assigned by assisting with requirements gathering, analysis and through direct engineering support to deploy, configure, and implement required systems and services.
  • Utilize CRM tools to request and track change requests to the servers and infrastructure.
  • Experience implementing and using automation technologies such as OpenTofu and Ansible playbooks to automate new and/or reoccurring tasks.
  • Experience implementing and operating Red Hat Satellite capabilities for centralized administration of RHEL systems in a geographically dispersed enterprise environment.

Ability to support travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required. Expected travel year to year is 5% or less
