The Senior Repair Engineer will work with a modest engineering team that develops, repairs, and establish specific processes for large, heavy-frame industrial gas turbines.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Develop cost-effective repair processes and procedures such that customer value and quality is maximized.
- Hands-on execution of new repair processes and following of pilot lot component repairs through the repair shop.
- Evaluate specific customer requested repair scopes and formulate a repair plan.
- Optimize, improve, and make efficient existing inspection and repair processes.
- Assess repair quality issues through our NCR process and develop preventative solutions.
- Determine new equipment and repair tooling needs for various product lines.
- Advanced knowledge using drafting/CAD skills with the ability to create and modify component layouts

WORK QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in developing gas turbine component repair processes and procedures
- Skilled in interpreting drawings with dimensioning and tolerancing in printed and CAD model formats.
- Proficient experience with project management and organizational skills including time management, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Possess cross functionality knowledge in order to be able to work and coordinate the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proficiency with processes like superalloy welding, heat treating, brazing and coating.
- Proficiency with repair qualifications including 1st article, route cards, procedures, and destructive evaluation if required.
- Aero-engine experience with blade/vane repairs counts.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or other Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications desired.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes (conventional & non-conventional).
Preferred:
- Multilingual is a plus
