  • This program was built to react to those approaching our internationally known providers for services at UW Medicine facilities

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

    The Medical Tourism Program supports international patients who wish to receive medical care at UW Medicine facilities

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a dedicated liaison to facilitate professional and effective communication and coordination between surgical teams, revenue departments, and international patients

  • Address any issues or concerns that may arise during the patient's care journey

  • Interface with Health Information Management Departments at hospitals abroad to obtain relevant medical records needed for UW Medicine

  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy to promote the consolidated for streamlined navigation to UW Medicine surgical teams

  • Accommodate requests for Surgical Spine, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, and other specialties

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in health care delivery systems including 3 years of experience in Program development, management or Project management or other related leadership experience

  • Experience as a leader or peer-leader for teams beyond direct supervisory control, including professional staff development and change management

  • Experience in healthcare management, program design, finance, data, change management, customer service, and community outreach/relationship-building among diverse stakeholders

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
