LPL Financial's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team is looking for a dynamic innovator to lead a category responsible for sourcing for all vendors and projects within the Market Data category.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement organization as a AVP, Market Data Sourcing who will be responsible for maintaining and transforming LPL's Market Data strategy. You will be responsible for maturing the Sourcing function to develop and maintain effective processes to maximize vendor value, deliver cost optimization aligned with LPL's strategy and minimize risk in LPL's third party portfolio. A fundamental component of the role is change management and the ability to lead the maturity of LPL's sourcing strategy with its Market Data Vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Negotiates all contracts with key Market Data Vendors in such a way to drive value across Business, Product and Technology roadmaps. Contracts include, but are not limited to: MSAs, SaaS Agreements, EULAs, SOWs
  • Collaborate and drive partner collaboration with various business stakeholders, Third Party Risk, FP&A and Legal to conduct contract analysis, establish clear metrics of success and reduce third party risk.
  • Effectively partners to further establish LPL's market data evolving strategy and align third party contracts, vendor consolidation and contract renegotiations with this strategy
  • Develops and implements category and sourcing strategies for the Market Data category by collaborating with your partners and incorporating a thoughtful understanding of the technical requirements, the departmental strategies of your partners and market trends
  • Effectively lead the RFx process through to completion; including requirements gathering, identifying potential respondents, identifying the criteria, scorecards and weighting, negotiation and contracting
  • Ensures your team establishes deep partnerships with their strategic partners, reviewing financial trends and aligning Vendors to LPL's strategic vision.
  • Influences and maintain strong internal relationships from the Executive level through to day-to-day operational functions.
  • Align LPL in growth projections required for future success.

What does your success look like in the first 90 days?

Learn the LPL Market Data Vendor landscape, meet with key executives across various Business, Product and Technology units to understand impact, importance and dependencies for LPL. Partner with the Business, Sourcing and Third Party Risk to gain an understanding of ongoing operational dependencies. Gain an understanding of the company's goals and establish the draft strategy aligning LPL's most strategic Vendors.

What are we looking for?

We want an experienced Sourcing leader who can collaborate effectively across the departments with proven track record leading and transforming the Market Data Sourcing function. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team-oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience in Sourcing, specifically Market Data Sourcing within large dynamic institutions
  • 5+ years as a leader developing, cultivating, and leading strong cross functional relationships driving maturity of the function
  • Expertise in Market Data sourcing strategy development and execution
  • Strong process leader who is detail oriented with demonstrated expertise on contract agreements and risk management
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and cultivating a productive working rapport with Senior Executives
  • Ability to drive data driven discussions and create a strategy/plan based on the data to drive results
  • Expert communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to create/present executive presentations and serve as one of the recognized subject matter experts on the team
  • Flexibility and organizational change management experience
  • The ability to work in a cross-functional team and drive outcomes without having direct authority
  • Actively anticipates, identifies, and manages risks within the company
  • Expert consensus-builder who drives change across initiatives within and outside direct accountability and evaluates solutions to complex business challenges
  • Negotiation experience with Financial Services / Wealth Management vendors

Pay Range:
$100,125-$166,875/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
