Job Summary
This professional position performs a range of routine to complex administrative duties in support of the City's Cultural A?airs arts and educational programs. Performs outreach and communication with key stakeholders to promote programs and activities. Reports to the Program Manager.

Essential Functions
Responsible for leading and oversight of the arts and education initiatives for the department. Performs market analysis to support decision-making for arts and education programming.

Plans and develops annual grants plan.

Plans and coordinates educational activities for students, youth, and adults.

Compiles analyzes, and maintains statistics for all related programs; prepares, maintains, and delivers various reports, bulletins, and related documents.

Plans, organizes, administers, and supervises summer and spring camp programs.

Executes implements, and delivers all in-house exhibitions and permanent collection gallery changes. Drafts and negotiates professional service agreements, MOUs, and contracts.
Liaison with the Marketing Department; coordinates promotional activities.

Provides administrative support to the Cultural A?airs Advisory Board.

Prepares, types, copies, ?les, and/or distributes various forms of correspondence, routine reports, charts, requisitions, work orders, spreadsheets, and other documents.

Performs general administrative/o?ce duties as required, including but not limited to conducting and attending meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, copying, and ?ling documents, maintaining logs, entering computer data, etc.

Interacts and communicates with the immediate supervisor, co-workers, other government agencies, city o?cials, contractors, customers, and the public.
Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Fine Arts, Education, Public Administration, or a related ?eld and 5 years of experience in arts and education programming; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
GENERAL BENEFITS:

The City of Miramar provides benefits for its permanent full-time and part-time employees. Vacation
Permanent full-time employees earn up to ten days of vacation during their first year of employment. Accrual begins from the first month of employment, but cannot be used until after the third month of employment.

Permanent part-time employees have the opportunity to earn vacation after the completion of one year of continuous service.

Sick Leave
Permanent full-time employees accrue sick leave at the rate of one day per month. Accrual begins from the first month of employment, but cannot be used until after the third month of employment.

Permanent part-time employees have the opportunity to earn sick leave after the completion of one year of continuous service.

Health Plan
The City currently provides medical coverage through Aetna. The City pays the health insurance premium for the employee and 50% of the premium for dependents.

Permanent full-time employees have the option of electing coverage from three plans: Health Network Only Plan (HMO), High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with HSA and Open Access Managed Choice Plan (POS).

Permanent part-time employees have the option of electing coverage from two plans: Health Network Only Plan (HMO) and the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
The City also offers Dental coverage through Delta Dental.

Pension (Defined Benefit Plan)

Permanent full-time employees are automatically enrolled in one of the City sponsored pension plans, which are funded by mandatory City and employee contributions. The Plan provides a guaranteed income, based on years of service, to its members upon retirement.
457(b) Plan (Deferred Compensation Plan)

Employees can elect to participate in this Plan, which enables the employee the option of deferring compensation on a pretax basis, not to exceed the applicable limits established by the IRC.
