Course Design and Delivery Team Lead
Position Purpose

The Team Lead of Course Design and Delivery will be part of a growing team at the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA), playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality of the ACSA's courses and their delivery. Supporting the Course Design and Delivery Team, the Lead will set a positive example, collaborate on continuous improvements, and monitor instruction and course material ensuring inclusive training and positive learning environments are maintained. Additionally, they will partner with stakeholders in coordinating all course revision activities and new course development projects within the department, serving as an expert resource in adult learning.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate ACSA training programs by analyzing course feedback, exam results, and conducting quality assurance checks to improve instructional strategies and student outcomes.
  • Support and mentor the team in enhancing training methods, conduct instructor onboarding, and certification while promoting inclusive learning environments of respect, and fostering a collaborative, positive environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the revision or development of training materials, providing subject matter expertise to projects as required.
  • Promote evidence-based decision-making by monitoring feedback, industry trends, and legislative developments, ensuring compliance with training materials.
  • Address student inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their learning experience.
  • Uphold the NCSO/NHSA designation program by overseeing proficiency submissions, analyzing course test outcomes, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • In partnership with management, create and oversee the training course calendar, schedule certified instructors, and ensure adequate coverage for all courses.
  • Instruct courses as necessary based on scheduling and to provide relief for instructors.
  • Provide classroom support, including daily check-ins and assistance with urgent needs.
  • Represent Your ACSA's brand consistently and professionally, while demonstrating integrity, honesty, and respect in all interactions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Post-secondary degree, diploma, and/or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, Adult Learning, or related area.
    • Certification in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or related areas is considered an asset.
    • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) designation.
    • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or National Construction Safety Officer (NHSA) designation.
  • Experience:
    • 5 - 7 years of related experience.
    • 2 - 3 years experience in a leadership role.
    • Multimedia technology experience, such as Adobe Connect.
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effectively collaborates with various stakeholders, leveraging communication and cooperation to drive positive outcomes.
    • Ability to work independently as a strong and contributing member in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Excels at creative thinking and problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Proficient in project management principles.

Logistics
  • Daily work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • This role is eligible for a hybrid work model (ACSA Edmonton office).
  • Limited travel, evening, and weekend work as required based on business needs.
  • This role reports to the Manager of Course Design and Delivery.

Salary: 86,064+
