Hiring Range $39.41 - $51.23
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
Plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for the
radiology departments.
Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians,
and other departments.
Oversees student clinical rotations for Radiological Technology programs.
Ensures on-going compliance with federal, state, and local agencies; Joint Commission, ACR,
JRCERT, ICAVL and all regulatory agencies.
Oversees the monitoring of departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts,
and vendor relations.
Maintains established productivity standards and supply expense metrics. Accountable for monthly
reporting of departmental, FTE, and expense variances to budget with associated action plan if
applicable.
Develops and monitors unit staffing patterns to ensure patient safety, quality care, productivity and
excellent patient outcomes while meeting applicable standards. Responsible for providing leadership
to personnel.
Interviews and selects qualified applicants for open, budgeted positions within the guidelines set forth
in Human Resources policies and procedures.
Provides ongoing feedback to staff concerning their performance, implementing corrective action as
needed and per human resource policy. Ensures performance evaluations are thorough, timely and
include goal setting for each individual when indicated. Establishes systems for open communication
and problem solving, encourages employee involvement in safety and health standards, hazard
analysis, and performance improvement initiatives. Promotes growth and development in self and
others. Develops and documents orientation and ongoing training programs for departmental
personnel.
Effectively uses KRONOS time and attendance system and other human resource information
systems and processes. Effectively interprets and implements Human Resource policies and consults
with Human Resources as necessary. Encourages and supports applicable certification of all eligible
staff.
Education: Completion of AMA approved school of radiological technology required.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as Radiology Technologist and one (1) year of leadership or management
experience required.
Certifications / Licensure:
BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the New York Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT
