Role description:
We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager/Engineer in Land Development with extensive experience in the planning, design and management of civil engineering projects for community developments in the province of Alberta to join us in our Calgary office.
In this role, you will be responsible for concept and detailed design for land development sites and subdivisions, including technical reports and memorandums relating to utility infrastructure and other municipal engineering requirements.
You will work collaboratively with other design disciplines to provide integrated and context sensitive solutions.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

Role description:

In this role, you will be responsible for concept and detailed design for land development sites and subdivisions, including technical reports and memorandums relating to utility infrastructure and other municipal engineering requirements.
You will work collaboratively with other design disciplines to provide integrated and context sensitive solutions.
Role accountabilities:
- Work directly with our team of engineers and technologists towards the completion of civil construction projects, working with our Design and Field Services teams
- Interface with Clients, demonstrate firm's capabilities, determine clients' needs and prepare proposals based project scope and estimated fees
- Preparation of construction documents, calculations, and reports for public or private clients
- Experience with single site and municipal type projects
- Experience with the development of construction documents for private and public sector clients including developers/cities/counties/water districts etc.
- Lead the design effort of public infrastructure roads, sidewalk, stormwater and utility improvements
- Lead the design effort of subdivision master plans, site plans, grading plans, and utility plans for new developments and redevelopments
- Lead the preparation of development cost estimates and contract award
- Participate during the construction of the project to assist in the successful completion
- Proficient skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D software
- Working with municipalities on permit applications and approvals, specifically in Calgary and surrounding area (i.e. DP/DL, DSSP, CD, and Subdivision Approvals)
- Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering
- Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists
- Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed (P.Eng., P.Tech, P.L.Eng.) Civil Engineer
- Licensed and registered with APEGA (P.Eng. P.Tech, P.L.Eng.)
- 5 - 8 years experience in engineering including project design, management, construction supervision, and project management.
- Proficient skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
