The Dinerstein Companies (TDC) is hiring a Houston based Software Systems Manager to support our national portfolio of owner-managed conventional and student housing communities. This position will work closely with the TDC Management team serving as an integral member of our corporate support within the management division of TDC.
Core Responsibilities
The Software Systems Manager will support the management team in three main areas: supporting property management software, education, and due diligence. This individual will work closely with the Director of Software and key management team members.
Software Support
Oversees support/help tickets, manages the support portal, and determines appropriate solutions, training, or maintenance as necessary. Maintains systems for properties by entering data, running reports, developing training materials, performing software audits, and overseeing Entrata operations.
Communicates with management about training initiatives, analyzes reports, gathers feedback, and makes recommendations for improvement.
Participates in evaluating and selecting software vendors, applications, and systems, and works with third-party vendors to enhance training programs.
Customizes Entrata for better visibility into operational metrics, acts as a liaison with TDC management, and ensures Entrata meets TDC needs.
Leads portfolio-wide software rollouts, strategizes with the property management team on system issues, and assists management team members.
Education
Designs, develops, and implements software and systems training programs, produces support documents, and coordinates new systems rollouts.
Researches operating processes, develops training materials, and collaborates on software utilization.
Acts as a performance improvement resource by providing coaching, conducting remedial training, and suggesting education alternatives. Stays updated on industry changes by attending training classes, conducting research, and applying new knowledge to areas of responsibility.
Travels for training programs, business meetings, and other necessary situations.
Due Diligence and Data Migration
Organizes due diligence, lease audits and unit inspections on new acquisitions.
Participates in take-over processes, completes systems conversions, provides training, and supports property migrations.
Sets up software for new properties under construction.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Software Systems Manager role would have the following qualifications:
Experience with Entrata required
Property management or asset management experience preferred
Travel required to our national portfolio of properties and after hours support if/when necessary
Willingness to learn new software or cloud-based programs that improve efficiencies
Experience communicating with a diverse set of audiences, including team members, executives and partners
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Houston, TX
