Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

License: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Must-Have: At least 2 years of experience in cardiac sonography, with a focus on pediatric patients
Job Description:
- Perform echocardiograms on pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct inpatient echocardiograms as ordered during daytime hours.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with NICU call rotation.
- The unit is staffed with 6 adult sonographers who also perform inpatient and outpatient studies.
- No specific scrub color is required at this time.
- The pediatric population is small but experiencing growth, with oversight provided by a renowned healthcare provider.
- Primarily handle outpatient cases, with inpatient NICU coverage as needed.
- Utilize equipment such as the Phillips Epiq echo cart, with the transition to the Epic system expected.
- The pediatric outpatient room is located near the adult stress and echo unit in the Heart and Vascular Clinic wing.
- Provide backup NICU evening and weekend call on a rotational basis for adult travelers lacking NICU experience.
