The Department of Healthcare Leadership and Management at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for the role of Division Director - Master of Health Administration (MHA) Residential Track. This is a full-time faculty position with administrative responsibilities, offered on the academic educator track with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The MHA Residential Division Director serves as the academic leader of the on-campus MHA program, ensuring excellence in curriculum, faculty mentorship, student success, and program accreditation. This individual will work in tandem with the MHA Online Division Director to ensure alignment across modalities of delivery while maintaining distinct, high-quality student experiences tailored to the residential format. The Residential Division Director will collaborate closely with the Department Chair, faculty, and other Division Directors to drive programmatic innovation, enhance student outcomes, and strengthen the program's visibility in the healthcare industry.

This is a full-time faculty position with administrative responsibilities, offered on the academic educator track with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The MHA Residential Division Director serves as the academic leader of the on-campus MHA program, ensuring excellence in curriculum, faculty mentorship, student success, and program accreditation. This individual will work in tandem with the MHA Online Division Director to ensure alignment across modalities of delivery while maintaining distinct, high-quality student experiences tailored to the residential format. The Residential Division Director will collaborate closely with the Department Chair, faculty, and other Division Directors to drive programmatic innovation, enhance student outcomes, and strengthen the program's visibility in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
The Residential MHA Division Director provides strategic leadership for the division, ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional goals while fostering an innovative and student-centered residential learning environment. This role includes oversight of curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and programmatic accreditation, particularly maintaining CAHME accreditation standards. Partnering with the MHA Online Division Director to ensure consistency in program learning outcomes while catering to the unique needs of residential students the collaborates with faculty and administration to enhance student success, drive program assessment and continuous improvement, and implement competency-based education strategies. Additionally, they represent the program at professional conferences and industry events to attract top-tier students and faculty. As a key liaison between the division, university leadership, and external stakeholders, the Director strengthens partnerships to advance the program's reputation and impact.

Required:
- Doctoral degree in Healthcare Administration/Management, Business Administration/Management (with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Healthcare Administration/Management), Health Services Management, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience in a Healthcare Administration program in higher education.
- Demonstrated potential to contribute to research and grant activities in Healthcare Administration.
Preferred:
- Experience with CAHME accreditation and competency-based education.
- Proven success in teaching, particularly in a residential learning format.
- Active membership in professional organizations (e.g., AUPHA, MGMA, ACHE, NAHSE).
- Experience working in digital learning and assessment platforms.
Appointment & Compensation:
- This is a full-time faculty appointment with administrative responsibilities. Compensation includes a stipend for administrative duties and workload release time.
