Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive and continuing care to patients requiring routine and emergency treatment through the diagnosis of disease processes and medical treatment.
- Oversee and provide direct medical care to patients in community health settings.
- Refer patients to other providers as appropriate.
- Participate in patient care audits for quality assurance and utilization review to maintain and improve patient care standards.
- Maintain appropriate medical records for assigned patients.
- Pursue continued education opportunities for professional growth and accreditation, such as attending medical conferences, seminars, and continuing education programs.
- Serve as a mentor by teaching medical residents, students, and practitioners from various healthcare professions.
- Accept on-call responsibilities as assigned, including backup clinician duties.
- Participate as a member of related committees as needed.
- Represent the health center to external authorities and the community as required.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and professional commitment by adhering to established standards of practice and utilizing appropriate scientific principles.
- Provide leadership for employees to enhance quality improvement training opportunities and integrate department initiatives with system-wide projects and strategic aims.
- Demonstrate well-developed organizational skills and strong follow-through.
- Maintain a professional work ethic, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Travel between sites may be required.
