Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
- Solicitation/Preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotes (RFQ's)
- Cost analysis of proposals
- Proposal fact finding
- Proposal negotiations, including cost, terms and conditions, payment terms, and scope of work
- Purchase order and subcontract preparation, placement, and continued
administration/monitoring to assure compliance to requirements/scope of work - Technical ability to interpret drawings and determine completeness of scope of work
- Formal purchase order and subcontract completions
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers such as payment discrepancies
- Serve as a Program Manager between supplier and GDLS functional departments and other General Dynamics divisions
- Preparation and negotiation of intercompany Service Agreements (ISA's), non-disclosure agreements, terms and conditions, and master service agreements
- Coordinate "Source Selection" process
- Ensure GDLS compliance with applicable procurement laws and regulations
- Expedite material to meet plant and engineering needs
- Work as a team member and assist/mentor colleagues as needed
- Develop new suppliers
- Comfortable in working with and presenting to senior leadership, both internal and external
- Other duties as assigned
- Travel estimated 10%
Qualifications Sought
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5 to 7 years of experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Mind-set to work collaboratively in a team environment for program success
- Proven skills in the development of technical documents and oral communication
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills sought
