Description:
The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role at the forefront of delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. In addition leading and directing pharmacists and pharmacy technician staff, this role is are accountable for supporting the management, oversight and operation of all aspects within the pharmacy.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout day. The employee must frequently lift and/or manage items over 20 pounds. Primary environment is an ambulatory health care setting; secondary environment is at community-based sites (e.g. festivals). This role regularly comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.

- Know, understand and adhere to organizational policy related to the patient's rights for confidential care.
- Act as liaison between MCC and the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those related to preparation/packaging/storage of products.
- Ensure all laws and rules promoted by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy are complied with and enforced
- Document care provided and bill appropriately for all services
- Assist in the training of residents, students, interns, and technicians
- Perform duties of a registered pharmacist working in a dispensing pharmacy
- Provide direction to other pharmacy personnel
- Provide patient education and pharmaceutical care management in coordination with primary care provider
- Expand indigent care drug programs
- Provide drug and poison information to patients and staff
- Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy required
- Current State of Minnesota pharmacy license required
- Patient care residency/fellowship training preferred
- Board Certification preferred
- Previous experience as a staff pharmacist preferred
- Previous patient care experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity and ability to read appropriate measurements.
- Time, project and personnel management skills.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks; ability to manage details
- Ability to community verbally and in writing with a variety of people
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a health care team.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
